Right now, I’m currently working on a more robust version of The Novelist, and its first versions do not include an updater. Make sure to subscribe to my newsletter or on Medium to get updated when the newer version comes out, along with a way to migrate from the older versions, or automatically move to them (we’ll see).
Currently, the easiest way to update to the newest version of The Novelist is:
- Update your vault first.
- Download the latest version of The Novelist.
- Copy your vault’s files and folders inside The Novelist folder and replace its own. Delete the files and folders you don’t need.
- Launch Obsidian.
Alternatively, you can test the newest releases before updating to them by opening The Novelist folder as a Vault and naming it differently.
