Chapter metadata and writing goals
Open a chapter and use its metadata/goal controls to set a word target or writing stage. A target helps you plan, but does not limit how much you can write. Distinguish the chapter’s stage from a blog post’s status or your entire book’s progress.
Word counts describe written text, not structural markers such as Scene Break. Book totals combine relevant manuscript pages. Stats and Journey provide additional views with Pro; the basic editor count and goals remain available. If a count looks wrong, note the chapter and steps without sending private text.
