Import a DOCX or Markdown manuscript

Open the intended book and its manuscript import action. Choose a DOCX or Markdown file, then wait for the structure preview. Review the detected Parts, chapters, front/back pages and warnings before confirming. For example, headings in a document can help identify chapters; poorly structured headings may need cleanup in the original file.

Choose the detected structure when it matches your book, or import as one chapter when you want to organize it yourself. The import appends content to the selected book; it is not a command to replace existing chapters. Cancel if the preview is wrong. Keep the original file and back up the workspace before importing a large manuscript. Afterwards check Structure, images and Preview.
